damn, I really could have used this cheat sheet when I was at Gobelins
I worked in a room which also housed the only all-male team of students in the third years. They were actually nice guys but they could get annoying and loud when they would take breaks to play videogames (frequently) or scour the internet (also frequently). Weirdly they finished earliest out of any team, a full month ahead of deadline, when most other groups barely scraped by before the end of term.
Reblogging because I don’t know why and how lame french insults could get so many notes. Une quiche, hahaha!! N’importe quoi.
This month’s Mythical Monthly is the dragon. Now, I was an early geek in my childhood and I liked dragons to no end. I could’ve become a fantasy geek only for the dragons.
Since I can’t decide on what kind of dragon to do, I’m just gonna post doodles like that this week, if I have time. The one on the right I designed a while ago and he’s reaaaally fun to draw. I think I named him Skreet; he’s like a slighly ADD chicken-dragon with a crooked, manic smile.
from an artists point of view laptop of desktop? i'm trying to decide which kind to buy but i know i don't want to be hindered when it comes to scanning and editing and ect. also if you don't mind PC or Mac?
There’s no good answer. I have a Macbook Pro because I sometimes need to carry it for different projects. The downside is that it has limited hardware performance and it’s harder to upgrade. My laptop suits me because I’m not a colouring freak but it wouldn’t do for editing videos or doing 3D. I have a regular monitor at home and I plug the laptop to it, instant dual screen! But Macs are super expensive, I might go with a PC next time.
Because when you name a file BLARGH0004.jpg, it’s only gonna be stupid floating heads full of scanned eraser crumbs. The terrified Etienne cracks me up. And fanart for Sam.
“…Seriously?”
“Lagostina pans are expensive…”

For the past four or five days, people protesting about the new special law and supporting the students in their ongoing strike against tuition fee hikes, have been invited to bang on pots and casseroles each night at 8pm. As I’m typing this, the sound of the pots and pans are echoing in my neighorhood, along with some firecrackers and the siren of police cars. I thought of what my old OCs would do in this situation, being students themselves (well, only Étienne, the middle one, in this case). Étienne is too much of a rich son of a bitch to be a credible protester though and the fact that he wraps his spoon in a sock doesn’t help his image. And Edwin, he just likes noise and hitting stuff with a crowbar.
The student strike has been going on for more then 100 days now. I won’t attempt to summarize the issue but if you want to read about it:
