My TCAF harvest! I got tons of small books because of 1) convenience carrying them 2) making me feel like I had a way bigger budget than I did. Johnny Wander made me laugh out loud in the bus on the way back, Demeter is as haunting as it is beautifully drawn and narrated, Shrub Monkeys made me walk down nostalgia lane, Molly and the Monster is just adorable and Outfoxed is a wonder of layout and good pacing. All the minis and self-published zines are a show of skills and good taste, given the limited budget and technical contraints of this type of support. I will read Jabberwocky this afternoon, as I rest my poor aching body and update my tumblr feed with all the great artists I discovered this year!

Rescue mission! Running away from the bad guys on a twisted ankle ain’t so easy.
I haven’t worked on something solely for fun in… forever. This feels incredibly good :D I still don’t feel like the brush pen is something that really works for me but I can’t shake how fun it is to use. I just find that it imposes a kind of line that doesn’t feel “mine”.
